From your description I understand that you are having issue with
Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller.
Please try the following methods for resolving the issue.
Method 1: Hardware and device troubleshooter.
You can try using the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.
·Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, tapping Search (or if you're using a mouse, pointing to the upper-right corner of the screen, moving the mouse pointer down, and then clicking Search), entering hardware and devices in the search box, tapping or clicking Settings, and then tapping or clicking Find and fix problems with devices. You might be asked for an admin password or to confirm your choice.
Method 2: I want you to install the driver from the below mentioned link.
Disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
a) Drag the mouse to bottom left corner and right-click on the ‘Start icon’.
b) Select ‘device manager’.
c) In Device Manager, double click to expand 'Universal Serial Bus controllers', right click on the Host Controller, click 'Uninstall' and click 'OK'.

Hello,
I have been using the same system for over 5 years now:
Intel Core i5 2500 CPU
ASUS P8P67 PRO Motherboard
Intel 6 Series C200 Chipset Usb Drivers
8gb of RAM
I installed Windows 7 as soon as it came out, and I never had this issue. I installed Windows 10 at launch, and the issue didn't show up. But until 2-3 weeks ago, this is happening randomly when booted fresh; my USB devices, that are connected to the 1C2D and 1C26 controllers, stop working.

This is easily fixed by going into the device manager, disabling and then re-enabling them. But this is of course annoying. The USB 3.0 ports are unaffected.
I have deleted the drivers and allowed Windows 10 to reinstall them, but I still get this error. The worst part is that it isn't consistent. Sometimes one doesn't work, sometimes the other, both, or they both work!
From several forums, I've read that this is a Microsoft issue, since they are the ones who provide the drivers for these USB controllers.

Can I get some help to stop this behavior in my machine?
